Doctors

  • DR DAVID GREENWELL (M)

    Dr. Greenwell qualified with a degree in Medicine from University of Manchester in 1990. He completed his GP training from Bredbury Medical Centre in 1995 and became a partner here in 1999. Dr. Greenwell is the lead for minor surgery and end of life care. Dr. Greenwell works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

  • DR CHAUDHARY RIAZ (M)

    B.Sc (Neurosciences), BM, MRCS, DOHNS, DRCOG, MRCGP, M.Sc. (Healthcare Leadership)

    Dr. Riaz joined us as a salaried GP in Oct 2021 and became a full time partner in Oct 2022. He qualified from The University of Southampton in 2007. He holds the NHS Leadership Academy Award in Senior Healthcare Leadership. Dr. Riaz works all days except Monday.

  • DR VICTORIA GALVIS (F)

    MBBS 2002 (Universidad del Valle Cali, Colombia). MRCGP May 2022

    Dr. Victoria joined the Practice in September 2022. She qualified from Colombia, Universidad del Valle, Cali in 2002. She is a passionate advocate for mental health, and a "whole person" approach to healthcare both physical and mental and has a special interest in Neurodiversity, oncology and how mental and physical health affect each other. On her time off she enjoys playing Lego with her kids and exploring various hobbies. Dr. Galvis works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

  • DR JIANBAI ZHANG (F)

    MBCHB 2016 (University of Manchester), DRCOG, MRCGP

    Dr Zhang joined Bredbury Medical Centre in March 2023. Her special interest is in Women’s Health especially menopause. Outside of work, she likes to play tennis and spend time with family. Dr. Zhang works Thursdays and Fridays all day.

  • DR FARHANA AKHTAR (F)

    Dr Akhtar qualified with a degree in Medicine from St. George’s, University of London in 2023. Her special interest is in Dermatology and likes travelling and horse-riding outside of work. Dr. Akhtar works Wednesday all day and Thursday morning.

  • DR HIBA HAMMAD (F)

    Dr. Hammad qualified with a degree in Medicine from The University of Leeds in 2023. She is interested in paediatrics and primary care. Outside of work, she really enjoys hiking, baking and travelling. She works on Thursday afternoon and Friday all day.

  • DR DAVID AJAO (M)

    BMBS, BA (Hons), MA, PhD. David qualified from the University of Nottingham’s Graduate-Entry Medicine (GEM) programme in July 2023. He has a biomedical research background and has contributed to clinically relevant research over the past 13 years. Alongside being a foundation doctor at Stepping Hill Hospital, David is keen to contribute to overall patient care at Bredbury Medical Centre. He is passionate about holistic lifestyle medicine whilst continuing to maintain an interest in medical research and teaching. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and in nature. Dr. Ajao works Monday mornings and Tuesday all day.

  • DR DAYEABASI BAJELA (M)

    MBChB (with European Studies), BSc (Hons). Daye graduated from the University of Manchester in 2024. He has an interest in pre-hospital, wilderness, and emergency medicine, with experience working as a medical responder at events, festivals and in the community. Outside of work, Daye is an avid traveller, having experienced the nature, cultures and cuisines of nearly 40 countries so far; he also enjoys flight simulation, live music, and meaningful conversations with friends and family. Dr Bajela works Monday morning and Tuesdays all day.
